Cataract in puppies is nothing but the malignant reaction in the lens. No doubt, this opacity in the lens is very small, but it is still capable of making the canine's vision blurred. The cataract in the furry members is normally inherited, and the most noticeable fact is, it can occur at any age. Impaired vision, change in the eye, change in behavior- are the symptoms by which you can guess that your pooch is suffered from cataract. On the contrary, when the 'aqueous humor fluid- the fluid produced in the eye' cannot be drained properly, then it can give rise to an infirmity called glaucoma. When this indisposition becomes severe, it can make your pup blind. Sometimes, improper treatment of cataract can cause permanent blindness in the canine group. So, instead of skipping the pet care schedule, you should consult a veterinarian immediately after observing the symptoms to prevent the malady from becoming terminal.
